Non-Formal Adult Education Development and Empowerment Support Project

On May 23-25, 2019, the Georgian Adult Education Network (GAEN) commissioned a three-day training on project narrative report preparation techniques at the GAEN office. Included. The training had 13 participants, who with the help of the training will be able to improve their narrative reporting skills with the acquired knowledge.
On April 24, the German Association of Public Universities in Kharagauli opened the DVVInternational Adult Education Center. The center is the eleventh among DVV centers operating in different regions of Georgia. Strengthening the capacity of the new member organization is of particular importance, for which GAEN conducted a training for trainers at the Kharagauli Center on June 11-12.
One of the strategic directions of GAEN is to strengthen the training capacity of the United Centers administration in the network. As the results of the 2018 needs assessment revealed, it is advisable to conduct training on marketing issues for the representatives of the Center administration. This, on the one hand, will increase the demand for courses (and other services) in the centers, take into account the nuances of creating a project application that will make the project attractive to the donor, and on the other hand, sell products and / or services of social enterprises based on the centers.
Georgian Adult Education Network GAEN is holding a competition for journalists for the fifth time this year, which has revealed the best journalistic work on the topic of adult education published in the press and on the Internet and the best TV and radio story. The competition was first held in 2015 and has since become a tradition - one or two of the best works are awarded annually and are awarded and awarded with a cash prize. Other nominations were added to the competition last year, and the Center for the Best Community Education in Adult Education was also revealed.
By order of the Georgian Adult Education Network (GAEN), on September 18-20, 2019, a three-day training on project application preparation was held at the GAEN office, led by Pavle Tvaliashvili. The target group of the training consisted of representatives of community and adult education centers with whom the training plan and content were agreed in advance. Participants were actively involved in both individual and group assignments as well as discussions.
On June 3, 2019, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the University of Georgia and the Georgian Adult Education Network (GAEN) for the implementation of progressive reforms in the education system of Georgia. The specific purpose of this important agreement is to increase access to education, especially in the regions. It is planned to organize joint activities, projects and events in this direction, which will help raise public awareness about non-formal education and its importance. The Memorandum is a significant step towards the popularization of adult education and its implementation in practice by combining formal and non-formal education and joint efforts.
